Prohibition put an end to the American rum industry, till now. Tuthilltown Spirits ships blackstrap molasses from Louisiana for its singular Hudson River Rum. Aged in small American Oak barrels, this rum has a distinctly candy-like quality. Notes of vanilla and caramel rise from the glass and intensify the longer it is left to open up in the glass.
