McLaren Vale 2005

This wine is from Southern Australian and 92% Shiraz and 8% Viognier. They have taken an outstanding parcel of old vine Shiraz and co-fermented it with a small percentage of estate grown Viognier to make this wine. Vionier creates amazing changes in the shiraz- enhancing the color, lifting and increasing the aromatics of the wine and adding complexity and length. Complements game, white meat and red meat.
