Jed Steele's Shooting Star Barbera 2005

Shooting Star is the second label of Jed Steele and Steele Winery. However, unlike many second labels, we utilize the same vineyard sources for both labels. With our Shooting Star wines we strive to make wines that are ready to drink now, wines that are are fun or unusual, and wines that we can drink on a regular basis without straining the budget. Jed’s middle name, Tecumseh, is the namesake for our Shooting Star brand. The American Indian leader, Tecumseh, was born on the night of an incredible meteor shower. Because of this his name means “Shooting Star."

This particular wine begs to be decanted and is not meant to drink right after uncorking. Once decanted, it is a non-fruity wine which pairs nicely with light Pasta, Pizza or any light faire.
